Ferringo fished on the Chase Me skippered by Captain Jason Johnson of Ramrod Key, Florida.
Ware’s the Fish scored top team honors with Captain Al Ware of Key West, Florida, at the helm. Pete Rutskin of Key West and his daughter Lara Rutskin of Marathon, Florida, tallied a three-dolphin aggregate weight of 39.86 pounds.
Second place in the women’s division went to Gricel Owen of Key West, who caught a 21.82-pound dolphin on This Is It captained by Key West’s Ed Gates.
Placing third in the women’s division was Key West resident Edee Delph, who brought in a 20.02-pound dolphin while also fishing on This Is It.
Second-place team was No Doubt, led by Key West’s Captain Desi Perez III, with a three-dolphin total weight of 31.84 pounds. Anglers were the captain’s father, Desi Perez Jr., and sister Desiree Perez, both of Key West.
Organizer Lee Murray said the tournament drew anglers on 20 boats. Participants were encouraged to release all fish except their heaviest.
