Significant prize money is up for grabs among the fun fish event’s top six teams, including $20,000 cash to the first-place team, $10,000 for second place and $5,000 for third place. Also to be awarded are daily-angler, lady-angler and junior-angler cash prizes.
A kickoff and final registration party is to be held Friday, May 31, from 5-8 p.m. at Skippers Dockside Restaurant. Serving as tournament headquarters, the restaurant is located at 528 Caribbean Drive behind the Holiday Inn at mile marker 100.
Fishing begins at 8 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, followed by a dockside party each fishing day and an awards event following Sunday's weigh-in and party. Anglers must have their fish to the weigh-in by 5 p.m. each day.
Each team may weigh in two dolphin fish per day. The combined weight of teams’ three largest fish is to determine the winners.
Entry fees received after May 11 but before May 31 are $225 for adult anglers. Anglers who register before May 11 can save $50 off individual registration. Junior anglers must be under the age of 16 and seniors at least age 65 on the first day of the tournament. An unlimited number of anglers is allowed per boat.
Online registration before the Friday kick-off event is recommended, according to organizers. In-person registration only is available Friday for $295 per angler.
