Key West to Become ‘RokIsland’ During Jan. 17-20 Festival

Legendary musicians and their fans are to rock the continental United States’ southernmost island city Wednesday through Saturday, Jan. 17-20, as RokIsland Fest presents four days and nights of unforgettable music staged in an open-air Key West setting.

The revelry is to feature alternative and hard rock superstars Bret Michaels, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame, the Stone Temple Pilots, Night Ranger, Jefferson Starship, Lou Gramm of Foreigner and Tom Keifer of Cinderella among many others.

Rock fans can enjoy the island’s balmy “winter” climate during dynamic mainstage shows at Key West’s open-air Coffee Butler Amphitheater in Truman Waterfront Park. Unlike large-scale arena settings, the amphitheater offers an atmosphere of intimacy and camaraderie that enhances the listening experience.

Hosted by renowned radio and television personality Eddie Trunk, the festival features adrenaline-pumping performances to enthrall both young contemporary audiences and those whose musical tastes were formed in rock’s glory days. Daily shows typically begin about 5 p.m. and continue until 11 p.m. or midnight.

Listeners at the amphitheater can purchase offerings from multiple food vendors and chalet tents with full-service bars.

During the day in Key West, festival attendees can enjoy sailing excursions with live music, parties for VIP passholders and other special events — as well as the attractions, eco-tours, casual and fine dining, on-the-water activities and warm weather that make the subtropical island a popular year-round visitor destination.

Among festival admission options are multi-day packages that include accommodations, curated experiences, access to exclusive VIP tents and private parties with special artist performances.

For attendees not needing accommodations, four-day or single-day admission passes are available, with each allowing entrance into festival venues and various perks depending on pass level.
