A classic holiday ballet, re-imagined to celebrate Key West's coral reef environment, seafaring heritage and even its free-roaming roosters, has debuted in the subtropical island city.

Celtic history, culture, food and music are to be celebrated by attendees at the 10th annual Florida Keys Celtic Festival, a favorite family event in the Middle Keys. The 2023 event is set for Friday through Sunday, Jan. 6-8.

The entire family can delight in snow despite the Florida Keys’ balmy winter temperatures Friday, Dec. 2, during Islamorada’s annual Florida Keys Holiday Fest scheduled on the beach at Founders Park, mile marker 87 bayside.

Sunny, breezy subtropical holidays in the Florida Keys & Key West are filled with warmth and good cheer throughout the 125-mile-long island chain. From Key Largo to Key West, the 2022 holiday season features spirited events such as lighted boat parades, historic inn tours, only-in-the Keys frivolity, sparkling waterfront celebrations and other island festivities.

Critically acclaimed Americana artist Shakey Graves and other indie and folk-rock all-stars are to take center stage during the 2022 COAST is Clear Music & Arts Festival, a Key West grassroots gathering set for Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 1-4.

Santa might arrive by sailboat instead of sleigh, and balmy Key West has never seen snow, but visitors can immerse themselves in seasonal spirit and celebrations during the 2022 Key West Holiday Fest that runs through Dec. 31.

A unique subtropical version of the classic ballet “The Nutcracker” awaits audiences Dec. 7-11 in Key West, flavored with characters and sets depicting the island’s colorful history, vibrant coral reef environment and even free-roaming local roosters.

High-energy family fun, entertainment and multicultural taste treats await revelers Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22, during the annual Bahama Village Goombay Festival.

Lavishly decorated floats, costumed characters, bands and elaborately garbed marching groups are to entertain spectators Saturday, Oct. 29, during the Bud Light Fantasy Fest Parade through Key West’s historic downtown.
