Little Palm Island Resort & Spa on Little Torch Key was ranked as Florida’s top favorite, while Marquesa Key West was ranked second among the Travel + Leisure’s “Readers’ 15 Favorite Resorts in Florida of 2023.”
Describing Little Palm Island Resort & Spa, featuring 30 suites housed inside 15 thatched-roof bungalows, Travel + Leisure stated, “It doesn’t get much more secluded in Florida than this adults-only haven, which sits on its own four-acre islet accessed only by seaplane or the resort’s private boat.” The resort “evokes the feel of a Caribbean hideaway” and its Dining Room restaurant “continues the barefoot luxury ethos.”
Two of the Keys’ highly lauded resorts are in Key West: the No. 2-ranked Marquesa Key West, and eighth-ranked Ocean Key Resort & Spa. Both are Nobel House Hotels & Resorts, as is Little Palm Island Resort & Spa.
In Key Largo, Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, was ranked as the ninth favorite.
"We're tremendously proud that four of our Keys resorts have earned this prestigious recognition,” said Stacey Mitchell, director of the Florida Keys tourism council.
"Each of these resorts is reflective of the luxury accommodations that can be found in beautiful locations throughout the Florida Keys, from Key Largo to Little Torch Key and Key West,” she said.
Readers rated the resorts based on criteria of rooms and facilities, location, service, food and value to select the “Readers’ 15 Favorite Resorts in Florida.” The state has more than 4,000 properties.
