Anglers and University of Miami Hurricanes sports fans can fish with their favorite ‘Canes All-Stars at the annual University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame Celebrity Fishing Tournament. The tournament is scheduled Friday and Saturday, June 23-24, in Islamorada. 

Opened in 2005, the Florida Keys History of Diving Museum is a unique 3,000-square-foot showcase of interactive exhibits. 

Rob Preihs of Islamorada took top honors at the annual Jim Bokor Islamorada All-Tackle Bonefish and Redfish Shootout that ended March 10. 

Designed to promote fishing for anglers of all ages in a team event, the multi-species Islamorada Spring Classic is set for Friday through Sunday, April 28-30, with all fishing designated in Florida Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Captain Travis Dickens of Islamorada led his team aboard Indigenous to the overall win of the 27th annual Cheeca Lodge Presidential Sailfish Tournament that ended Jan. 21. 

Second-generation charter captain Paul Ross of Islamorada led his anglers aboard Relentless to the win at the Islamorada Sailfish Tournament that concluded Sunday, Dec. 4. The tournament kicked off the renowned triple-crown Florida Keys Gold Cup Sailfish Championship series.

Experience traditional bluegrass, old time and Americana offerings in a waterfront setting during Islamorada’s fifth annual Baygrass Bluegrass Music Festival scheduled Friday through Sunday, Jan. 13-15.
